rainbow park

The kids and I went to one of our local parks on Wednesday.  The park is actually called "Enchanted Forest" (I think) but all of the kids in town seem to always call it Rainbow Park.

Jackson had a good time.  He has only been here once with me when we first came home.

He seemed to like the swing a little more this time, but preferred to be chasing after his big sister and big brother.

It has been getting really hot here this summer.  Upper 90's and a few weeks ago the heat index was 110 degrees.  Thankfully we're able to go to the beach or to Oma/Opa's pool.

Hoping to get Jackson's first trip to the beach in soon!

An Orphan's Wish

My bloggy friend, Stefanie, over at Ni Hao Ya'll, is having a giveaway for her 1000th post.  Here's the catch!  For every comment that is left for a week, she is donating $1 to An Orphan's Wish!  Once the total is in, she is going to purchase the things that they need to help these sweet babies!  An Orphan's Wish is launching a new website, too!  An Orphan's Wish is my first button on my new family blog!  Go Check It Out!  And go check out Stefanie and read about a woman and her husband who have hearts of gold,  servant's hearts, for the orphan!

Happy Father's Day!

We spent the day at the soccer fields for Jadon's 3v3 Tournament at UCF.  It was a scorcher of a day, but we survived.

I am trying to start transitioning over to this blog for all of our family postings and leave Jackson's blog for his progress with his microtia/atresia.  But I did a Sunday Snapshot post over there on our Father's Day weekend.  This will just be the highlights and a few pictures.

Once we arrived home, everyone showered and relaxed.  Then we headed off to dinner and Blockbuster.

Kurt, we love you and are so thankful for you!  We hope you enjoyed your day!

Who We Are

We are Stacy and Kurt, the blessed parents of 3 beautiful children.  Sydney ~our 9 year old daughter, Jadon~our 6 1/2 year old son, and Jackson ~our soon-to-be 3 year old son that we recently adopted from China.

We are a Bible-believing family that is in-love with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are striving to raise our children to above all things, "Love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our strength."

We are striving to raise our children to walk in obedience to God's calling on our lives, no matter where He leads us.

We are striving to raise our children to be madly in-love with Jesus Christ, above anyone else, and to have a personal relationship with Him.

We are striving to raise our children with a biblical world view.

We are striving to raise our children to have a heart and a burden for the spiritually lost, the orphans and the widows in our world.

This is our family blog.  A place for us to share with our family and friends the happenings in our lives and how God is using our family to further His Kingdom.  It is a journey, a life long journey, filled with mountains and valleys.  A journey that we have laid down at the feet of Jesus.

We pray that God will somehow use our lives and our testimony to touch your life.  We're glad you're here!  We would love for you to leave your comments as you read along.
